Dr. Yoav Leiser is a dentist and a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He holds a dual degree in dentistry and a PhD in molecular biology. Dr. Leiser is a graduate of the dentistry program (DMD) and doctorate (PhD) of the Hebrew University, Hadassah Ein Kerem in Jerusalem in 2004.
Dr. Yoav Leiser holds an Israeli license to practice hypnosis, issued by the Ministry of Health, and incorporates into his work at the clinic a variety of techniques for the treatment and alleviation of dental anxiety and phobia.
Dr. Yoav Leiser completed the residency program of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Rambam Health Care Campus. He completed his postdoctoral training at the institute of vascular and cancer research, in the laboratory of Professor Israel Vlodavsky, on the prognostic role of the heparanase gene in oral cancer. Dr. Leiser delivers lectures at dozens of scientific conferences in his field in Israel and around the world.
Dr. Leiser acts as a lecturer and a (preclinical and clinical) counselor for medical students at the Faculty of Medicine of the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion). In addition, Dr. Leiser is a cancer researcher and the director of the Oral Cancer Research Laboratory at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of Rambam Hospital in Haifa, and is a counselor for advanced degrees (M.Sc., Ph.D.). Clinical areas of interest include, among others, preparatory surgeries for restorative maxillofacial reconstruction and restorative surgery, which includes complex dental extractions, bone grafting and dental implants, complex surgeries for eye orbital reconstruction after trauma and oncological surgery of benign and malignant tumors in the head and neck.
Currently, Dr. Leiser works as an Oral and Maxillofacial specialist at the Center for Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, A.R.M, Assuta Ramat HaHayal.
