Pediatric otolaryngology unit
The purpose of the unit is to provide a comprehensive solution for pediatric ENT diseases - from infants to adolescents, whereby we provide diagnosis, consultation and treatment for all ENT disorders that appear in those ages. As part of the treatments, advanced and innovative surgeries are performed to provide a solution for enlarged tonsils and adenoid (third tonsil) that cause obstructive sleep apnea disorders, recurring tonsillitis (“throat inflammation”), ear fluid buildup and recurring ear inflammations, prolonged rhinitis, ankyloglossia (tongue-tie), congenital lumps and cysts in the head and neck. Diagnosis, consultation and treatment are provided for respiratory tract and laryngeal disorders in infants. In addition, the unit provides conservative and surgical solutions to problems of the cleft palate and cleft lip and velopharyngeal insufficiency through a multidisciplinary team, in collaboration with an experienced speech therapist.
